Coffee starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Coffee in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Coffee starter kit here
We run coffee the same way in Nouméa: same starter kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long coffee tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coffee starter kit really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at coffee in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested coffee in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Mixing coffee with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coffee tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.86 per 10 ml.
