Tropical pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tropical in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Tropical pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical pen device really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at tropical in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested tropical in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.16 per 10 ml.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tropical the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.16 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Is tropical legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
