Iced pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Iced in Nouméa: 23 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pen device for iced
Iced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.99 per 10 ml.
A iced pen device from the best options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.99 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long iced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a iced pen device really costs in Nouméa
Iced in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested iced in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every iced bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a iced bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where iced goes wrong
- Mixing iced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Why does iced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the iced blend itself harsh.

Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
