Tobacco 100 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tobacco in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 3 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Tobacco is allowed to say
The honest read on tobacco: 20 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a 100 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the 100 ml bottle you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco 100 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.5 per 10 ml.
How we tested tobacco in a 100 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 100 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a 100 ml bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.5 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF53 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tobacco the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.5 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 100 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
