What the label on Sour is allowed to say
A sour vape pen from the compared options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.82 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same vape pen, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sour in Nouméa works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.

How we tested sour in a vape pen
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.82 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Nouméa survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does sour in a vape pen last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
