Plain mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Plain is allowed to say
Plain in Nouméa reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, mesh tank, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
A plain mesh tank from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.95 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested plain in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plain goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

In Nouméa we measured 6 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.

What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
