Plain box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Plain in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 4 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
A plain box mod from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.33 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.33 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 6 units, box mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain box mod really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested plain in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised XPF57 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.33 per 10 ml.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
