Pear refill pack IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Pear in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 6 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a refill pack for pear
If you are looking at pear in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The honest read on pear: 19 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: pear in Nouméa works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear refill pack really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested pear in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for refill pack in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where pear goes wrong
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.33 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here

Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.33 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF68 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a refill pack.
