Pear prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Pear in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
If you are looking at pear in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the prefilled pod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Pear sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on pear: 13 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested pear in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every pear bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where pear goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest prefilled pod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.51 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does pear in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 5 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
