Mint box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist
Mint in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with mint in New Caledonia
We run mint the same way in Nouméa: same box mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Mint box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 12 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
The short version: mint in Nouméa works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint box mod really costs in Nouméa
A mint box mod from the cheapest options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.69 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested mint in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where mint goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should mint start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
How long does mint in a box mod last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does mint taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the mint blend itself harsh.
