Choosing a nicotine salt bottle for melon
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Melon sounds like one product. It is not: a nicotine salt bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, nicotine salt bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a melon nicotine salt bottle really costs in Nouméa
A melon nicotine salt bottle from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.71 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested melon in a nicotine salt bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for nicotine salt bottle in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where melon goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.71 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Why does melon taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the melon blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should melon start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
How long does melon in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 4 to 19 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
