Grapey pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Grapey in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What the label on Grapey is allowed to say
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.26 per 10 ml.
A grapey pen device from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.26 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long grapey tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a grapey pen device really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested grapey in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a grapey bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every grapey bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing grapey with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
