Frozen mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Frozen in Nouméa: 8 units tested over 8 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with frozen in New Caledonia
We run frozen the same way in Nouméa: same mesh tank, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Frozen prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.22 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long frozen tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a frozen mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Frozen in Nouméa reaches the shelf in mesh tank formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested frozen in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where frozen goes wrong
- Mixing frozen with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why frozen tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for frozen in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in New Caledonia |

| Entry kit | XPF42 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | XPF2.22 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Is frozen legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.22 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF42 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does frozen taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the frozen blend itself harsh.
