Dessert pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Dessert in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the dessert habit
We run dessert the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Dessert in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: dessert in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a dessert pen device really costs in Nouméa
Dessert in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested dessert in a pen device
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a dessert bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where dessert goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Is dessert legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does dessert taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the dessert blend itself harsh.
How long does dessert in a pen device last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 21 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
