Cola pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist
Cola in Nouméa: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with cola in New Caledonia
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run cola the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: cola in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a cola pen device really costs in Nouméa
Cola sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested cola in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a cola bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 11 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where cola goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cola in Nouméa survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
