Citrus starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Citrus in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
If you are looking at citrus in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus starter kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on citrus: 6 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested citrus in a starter kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.39 per 10 ml.
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
How long does citrus in a starter kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 6 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
