Caramel prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Caramel in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the caramel habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.61 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the prefilled pod you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a caramel prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested caramel in a prefilled pod
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long caramel in Nouméa survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.61 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
How long does caramel in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 3 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
