Citrus vape pen IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist
Citrus in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 3 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
We run citrus the same way in Nouméa: same vape pen, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a vape pen running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus vape pen really costs in Nouméa
Citrus in Nouméa reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the value ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested citrus in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the vape pen, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for citrus in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a vape pen.
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.96 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF54 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
