If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested caramel in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.89 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a nicotine salt bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Mixing caramel with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
Why does caramel taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the caramel blend itself harsh.
How long does caramel in a nicotine salt bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 8 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
