The short version: apple in Nouméa works if the zero-nicotine bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Nouméa

How we tested apple in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for zero-nicotine bottle in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where apple goes wrong
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a zero-nicotine bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a zero-nicotine bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.22 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF45 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is apple legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
