Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
We run apple the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Apple prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.8 per 10 ml.
The short version: apple in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple pen device really costs in Nouméa
We run apple the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested apple in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where apple goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why apple tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.8 per 10 ml.
