A plain pod kit from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.15 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.

Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Plain in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the flat-rate ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plain in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plain goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.15 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF36 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
What nicotine strength should plain start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
