Vanilla starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Vanilla in Nouméa: 17 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good starter kit from a repack
Vanilla starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on vanilla: 17 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Shipping of nicotine to New Caledonia runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF1.63 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
