Vanilla pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist
Vanilla in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Vanilla pod kit here
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.63 per 10 ml.
A vanilla pod kit from the flat-rate options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.63 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a pod kit that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
