Vanilla pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the deals shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Vanilla in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 5 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the vanilla habit
Vanilla in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run vanilla the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla pen device really costs in Nouméa
Vanilla in Nouméa reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested vanilla in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in Nouméa survives.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.24 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
