Vanilla mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Vanilla in Nouméa: 16 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.84 per 10 ml.
A vanilla mesh tank from the value options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.84 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: vanilla in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested vanilla in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.84 per 10 ml.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in Nouméa survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a mesh tank cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.84 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF68 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Do you ship tracked orders to New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked to 6–12 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
