Vanilla 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Vanilla in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Vanilla 30 ml shortfill here
Vanilla 30 ml shortfill reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
A vanilla 30 ml shortfill from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.33 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
We run vanilla the same way in Nouméa: same 30 ml shortfill, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised XPF43 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.33 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for vanilla in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Is vanilla legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.33 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
