Tropical starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the order shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tropical in Nouméa: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the tropical habit
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Tropical in Nouméa reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the pre-order ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested tropical in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
