Tropical pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tropical in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 5 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Tropical pod kit here
If you are looking at tropical in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run tropical the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long tropical tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tropical pod kit really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on tropical: 20 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.54 per 10 ml.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tropical in Nouméa survives.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF3.54 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF35 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does tropical in a pod kit last?
In Nouméa we measured 5 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
