Tropical mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the price shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tropical in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 3 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a mesh tank for tropical
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.28 per 10 ml.
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
A tropical mesh tank from the value options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.28 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
Is tropical legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
