Tropical 60 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tropical in Nouméa: 14 units tested over 4 weeks, 60 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a 60 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Tropical in Nouméa reaches the shelf in 60 ml bottle formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the 60 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 60 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a 60 ml bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested tropical in a 60 ml bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 60 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Treating the advertised XPF33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.44 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Packaging for tropical in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should tropical start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 60 ml bottle.
How long does tropical in a 60 ml bottle last?
In Nouméa we measured 4 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 60 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
