Tropical 30 ml shortfill IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tropical in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 7 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
We run tropical the same way in Nouméa: same 30 ml shortfill, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Tropical in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 30 ml shortfill really costs in Nouméa
Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested tropical in a 30 ml shortfill
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
