Tropical 100 ml bottle IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tropical in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 3 weeks, 100 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
We run tropical the same way in Nouméa: same 100 ml bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Tropical prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.44 per 10 ml.
The short version: tropical in Nouméa works if the 100 ml bottle, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 100 ml bottle really costs in Nouméa
A tropical 100 ml bottle from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF2.44 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested tropical in a 100 ml bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the 100 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the 100 ml bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 100 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tropical tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 100 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
