Tobacco vape pen IQOS in Nouméa: the compare shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tobacco in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 4 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good vape pen from a repack
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.09 per 10 ml.
We run tobacco the same way in Nouméa: same vape pen, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested tobacco in a vape pen
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
