Tobacco prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the flat shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tobacco in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 7 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Delivery, returns and what 6–12 business days really means
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.21 per 10 ml.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: tobacco in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tobacco prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested tobacco in a prefilled pod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a prefilled pod that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Treating the advertised XPF59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.21 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How long does tobacco in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 7 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should tobacco start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
