Tobacco mesh tank IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Tobacco in Nouméa: 9 units tested over 2 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the tobacco habit
The honest read on tobacco: 9 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco mesh tank really costs in Nouméa
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.42 per 10 ml.
How we tested tobacco in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in Nouméa survives.
- Treating the advertised XPF34 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.42 per 10 ml.
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
