Spiced prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Spiced in Nouméa: 24 units tested over 6 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a prefilled pod for spiced
Spiced in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
A spiced prefilled pod from the budget options in New Caledonia costs about XPF1.83 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: spiced in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
Spiced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF1.83 per 10 ml.
How we tested spiced in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long spiced in Nouméa survives.

Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.83 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF57 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does spiced in a prefilled pod last?
In Nouméa we measured 6 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
