Sour starter kit IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Sour in Nouméa: 18 units tested over 8 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sour habit
Sour sounds like one product. It is not: a starter kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on sour: 18 units through the same routine over 8 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour starter kit really costs in Nouméa
If you are looking at sour in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sour in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where sour goes wrong
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF1.62 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
