Sour pod kit IQOS in Nouméa: the budget shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Sour pod kit here
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The honest read on sour: 21 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour pod kit really costs in Nouméa
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same pod kit, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 21 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sour goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.09 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
