Sour cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Sour in Nouméa: 22 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What sour costs in Nouméa
Sour in Nouméa reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Sour cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
We run sour the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.34 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Is sour legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
