Home / Sour box mod IQOS in Nouméa: the cheap shortlist

What the label on Sour is allowed to say

Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.

Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF3.58 per 10 ml.

If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

What a sour box mod really costs in Nouméa

Ordering into Nouméa usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.

How we tested sour in a box mod

1. Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
2. Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
3. Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.

• Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
• Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
• Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
• A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.

Where sour goes wrong

• Treating the advertised XPF56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.58 per 10 ml.
• Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
• Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Nouméa survives.
