What IQOS in Nouméa really means
buyers tend to overbuy on hardware and underbuy on liquid. The hardware is cheap; the liquid is what you replace every fortnight. That single fact shapes most of the recommendations below.
IQOS in is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo. The batch that arrives is a liquid, a coil and a power setting that have to agree with each other, and adds another layer: stock definitions, import paperwork and a nicotine ceiling that shifts by market.
What to check before you buy IQOS
- Seal integrity: a child-resistant cap that pops open in the post has usually been opened before.
- Coil resistance printed on the head, not the device screen. If they disagree, the device firmware has changed the reading.
- Batch code on the box: the IQOS sold in Nouméa should trace back to a dated production run, not an open lot.
- nicotine ceiling for the market. 9 is the practical cap here, and anything stronger is not sold legally.
How to choose the right IQOS in Nouméa
- Pick your draw first. A mouth-to-lung pod rewards a higher nicotine strength and a thin liquid; a sub-ohm tank wants the opposite, and mixing them is the most common reason someone says flavour died early.
- Then price the fortnight, not the bottle. Coil life and ml of liquid tell you the real cost.
- Then check the liquid ratio against the coil. A 70/30 blend in a 0.8 Ω pod wicks fine; the same liquid in a 1.2 Ω tank will spit.

Mistakes that cost New Caledonia buyers money
- Chaining a sweet dessert blend at high wattage. Sweeteners caramelise on the coil and kill it in days.
- Assuming the online price is the landed price. Duty and courier handling in change the maths more than most listings admit.
- Using a 20 mg salt in a sub-ohm tank. The hit is enormous and the flavour is gone in three draws.

Frequently asked questions
Can I mix two liquids together?
You can, and it usually helps. Mixing a 70/30 with a 50/50 lands somewhere in between, which is a reasonable way to find your ratio.
Is IQOS legal to order in Nouméa?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance. Compliant stock ships; anything that breaks the local ceiling stays in the warehouse.
Why does my IQOS taste burnt?
Nine times out of ten it is a dry coil: the liquid ran out before the wick caught. The other time it is wattage higher than the coil rating.
