Salted cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist
Salted in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 9 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a cartomizer for salted
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a cartomizer running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.

The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested salted in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where salted goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.77 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a cartomizer that then needs an adapter nobody in New Caledonia stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for salted in New Caledonia must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

| Entry kit | XPF54 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | XPF2.77 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.77 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF54 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should salted start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
