Ordering IQOS to Nouméa: the practical version
If you are looking at salted in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: salted in Nouméa works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted box mod really costs in Nouméa
Salted in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested salted in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where salted goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long salted in Nouméa survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Is salted legal to sell in New Caledonia?
New Caledonia applies French-language labelling at customs clearance.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On salted the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF3.33 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
