Plum RDA IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 19 units tested over 3 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
What plum costs in Nouméa
Plum in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Nouméa that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within XPF2.78 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 19 units, RDA, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plum RDA really costs in Nouméa
The honest read on plum: 19 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested plum in a RDA
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for RDA in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
Where plum goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.78 per 10 ml.
