Plum prefilled pod IQOS in Nouméa: the best shortlist — Frenchpolynesiaiqos
Plum in Nouméa: 6 units tested over 5 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Where buyers go wrong with plum in New Caledonia
Plum prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the prefilled pod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum prefilled pod really costs in Nouméa
We run plum the same way in Nouméa: same prefilled pod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested plum in a prefilled pod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in New Caledonia, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for prefilled pod in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
Where plum goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Nouméa survives.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ignoring the batch date on a prefilled pod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to New Caledonia need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in New Caledonia sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the prefilled pod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a prefilled pod.
How much does a prefilled pod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF1.67 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF60 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
