Plum pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the review shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 20 units tested over 6 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How to tell a good pen device from a repack
We run plum the same way in Nouméa: same pen device, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum pen device really costs in Nouméa
A plum pen device from the reviewed options in New Caledonia costs about XPF3.41 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested plum in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in New Caledonia accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised XPF36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF3.41 per 10 ml.
