Plum pen device IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 12 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a pen device for plum
If you are looking at plum in New Caledonia, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in New Caledonia. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum pen device really costs in Nouméa
Most people searching IQOS in New Caledonia are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested plum in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into New Caledonia.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where plum goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised XPF32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run XPF2.2 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Nouméa: about XPF2.2 per 10 ml liquid plus XPF32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should plum start at?
Start at whatever New Caledonia allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
