Plum cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the online shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 13 units tested over 6 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
How we tested Plum cartomizer here
Plum cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 13 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Plum in Nouméa reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Plum in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plum in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in New Caledonia, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where plum goes wrong
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
