Plum cartomizer IQOS in Nouméa: the guide shortlist
Plum in Nouméa: 10 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for New Caledonia.
Choosing a cartomizer for plum
Plum in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
We run plum the same way in Nouméa: same cartomizer, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: plum in Nouméa works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plum cartomizer really costs in Nouméa
Plum in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Nouméa the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested plum in a cartomizer
- Choose strength against the ceiling in New Caledonia, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where plum goes wrong
- Mixing plum with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plum in Nouméa survives.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On plum the budget price and the premium price can sit within XPF2.77 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
Can I order IQOS online in New Caledonia?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 6–12 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
